One of the most successful producers since the Millennium!
As one of the most influential and successful music producers and songwriters of the 21st century, Pharrell Williams’ production discography reads like the A-Z of contemporary artists, it’s truly frightening.
The list of artists he’s worked with is so long, I’ll let you discover them in your own time by following the link above.
The first tune that made me sit up and take note was, Caught Out There by Kelis (1999). Nobody knows it by the title, but by the hook “I hate you so much right now”. This was truly an incredible tune and a sign of what was to come from Pharrell and his production team The Neptunes.
2002-04 was a great era for Pharrell with superhits Girlfriend by Nsync, Hot In Herre by Nelly, Like I Love You, Rock Your Body, and Señorita by Justin Timberlake. Milkshake by Kelis, and Drop It Like It’s Hot by Snoop Dog.
One of the few covers Pharrell has to his name is CeeLo Green’s version of Let’s Stay Together, also released in 2004.
Jump forward ten years and Pharrell again has great success with three of the biggest tunes on this side of the millennium in Blurred Lines (Robin Thicke), Get Lucky (Daft Punk), and Happy, all released in 2013. now with Pharell Williams singing as well as writing and producing.
