Beats, Brands, and Breakthroughs: The World of will.i.am
As the founding member of Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am started the group in 1995 and stuck with it until global success arrived eight years later with the release of Where Is The Love?
A self-proclaimed workaholic, he followed this breakthrough with a string of hits including I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow, as well as solo material which led to a collaboration with Estelle on her smash hit American Boy.
By 2011, will.i.am had become a superstar, even performing with Black Eyed Peas at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show.
His list of collaborations is staggering and includes Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, U2, Justin Timberlake, and Usher.
Since 2012, will.i.am has also been a fixture on The Voice, where he’s often on the lookout for what he calls “fresh” talent.
