How Busking Through Europe Led Damien Rice to O
Damien Rice was originally a member of the band Juniper, but on the eve of recording their first full album, he changed his mind and walked away.
He fled to Italy to start afresh, writing songs and busking his way around Europe.
Back in Ireland, Damien reconnected with composer David Arnold, and together they recorded the album O in 2002. This debut introduced Damien Rice to the world—thanks in part to the hit Cannonball.
Other standout tracks from the album include Delicate, Volcano, and The Blower’s Daughter.
Since the release of O, Damien Rice has toured the globe and shared the stage with both legends and contemporaries.
