Beyoncé started out with the teenage girl vocal group Destiny’s Child, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1997.
One single caught the attention of the industry and the general public in No, No, No.
The following year the group released the now legendary follow-up The Writing’s on the Wall. Here we find four huge tunes in Bug A Boo, Jumpin’ Jumpin’, Bills, Bills, Bills, and Say My Name.
These four singles made Destiny’s Child and Beyoncé world famous. As the saying goes, every girl wanted to be them, every guy wanted to be with them.
The album has since sold 13 million copies worldwide.
Their third album (2001) kept delivering in lead single Survivor, other smash hits were Independent Women and Bootylicious.
Following some touring, the girls agreed to pursue solo careers. Beyoncé’s first single was Crazy In Love with husband to be Jay-Z.
Since the solo debut, the hits have kept coming in Irreplaceable, Halo, Run The World (Girls), Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), If I Were A Boy, Deja Vu, and Love On Top.
As one of the best-selling artists of all time, Beyoncé has sold over 260 million records.
