Jason Mraz became a household name in 2008!

In 2002, Mraz signed to Elektra Records and released his first album entitled Waiting For My Rocket To Come. The debut had the single The Remedy (I Won’t Worry) on it which peaked at #15 on the Billboard chart.

Jason Mraz’s next album, Mr. A-Z was released in 2005 and Mraz promoted it by touring as a support act to Alanis Morrisette, Tracy Chapman and James Blunt the world over.

Produced by Steve Lillywhite, Mr. A-Z peaked at #5 on the Billboard chart. It contained crowd favorites such as Geek In Pink, Life Is Wonderful and Wordplay.

For the 2008 album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, the single I’m Yours featured (re-recorded). This song made Jason Mraz a household name.

Spytunes had a hit with I’m Yours before Jason Mraz!

In hindsight, the rest of the world did agree with Spytunes that I’m Yours was the song of 2008 but it took almost two years!

We had already recorded this song in 2007 and received over a million plays on YouTube. Based on the original EP version (Extra Credit ’05) Spytunes decided if Jason Mraz wasn’t going to release this obvious monster hit, then we would!

In May 2008, Mraz finally came to his senses and released it as the first single off his album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things.

At first, the sales were slow but by late 2009, I’m Yours was the best selling song since the millennium with over four million downloads. It has spent the longest time on the Billboard charts, ever.

I’m Yours – Chords & Guitar Lessons

A huge hit in 2008 from Jason Mraz, Spy Tunes actually recorded this song before it was officially released.

Using an old demo from 2005 we took this song and made it our own thinking if Jason isn’t gonna release this, then we are!

I’m Yours – Lyrics

Well you done, done me and you bet I felt it,
I tried to be chill but you’re so hot that I melted.
I fell right through the cracks,
and now I’m trying to get back.
