Learn how to play 16th note rhythms!
If the first 5 was easy, the next 5 rhythm exercises are a bit more tricky.
As long as you understand what the rhythmical symbols means in up and down strokes you should be OK.
Take your time, work out the pattern by playing along, compare your up and down strokes to the symbols. Once you can play these well, push the BPM!
Possibly the most difficult rhythm, the “16th, 8th, 16th” does trip most players up.
Persevere and combine with practicing Spyder 13 for maximum gain.
Writing rhythm, playing rhythm
Just playing these exercises aren’t nearly enough if you want to become a better reader.
To increase your reading skills, simply first complete all exercises here, then start writing your own patterns.
Maybe you copy a rhythmical pattern you hear on a record, maybe just write some randomly.
The more you put in to this, the more you’ll get out.
