Improvise over a Quick Change Blues!

This video demonstrates how you over a “quick change” can swap pentatonic scale according to the chord.
The Jam track used is ‘Blues Bundle 2′ and the key is A.

The quick change only appears every other time, so make sure you play over it by swapping to the IV chord and back every time it appears.

Several different scales from the Intermediate Routine is used in the video lesson, let’s examine them in a bit more detail.

Soloing with a Quick Change

The different methods used in the video lesson are:

  1. Minor Pentatonic, blanket scale
  2. Blues/Conspirian, blanket scale
  3. Major Pentatonic, new chord = new scale.
  4. Mix it up
