Change key for self-elimination!

The video lesson demonstrate how to change key using Blues Bundle 1, tracks 18-24.

What happens here is that we move from a blues in the key of G, using the chords G, C and D.

The following key is C, the chords are C, F and G.

Notice how the movement form G to C in the first progression is the same as the movement when we change key. This means that you specifically practice this 4th up movement.

Chord V to I is another 4th up movement so plenty to gain from this exercise, especially since it moves through 6 key changes!

New Chord = New Scale

If you have been toying with the concept of new chord = new scale with the major pentatonic, then this is the exercise for you.

Aim to really sound as if you are playing over each chord in the blues.

Explore what the strongest intervals are, and most importantly, that you can get in and out of scale shapes easily.
