Learn how to connect the Conspirian scale shapes!

This exercise connects all Conspirian shapes with each other.

For complete control make sure you can play the exercise in all 12 keys. Simply run the exercise through the cycle of 4ths.

As usual this is played i triplets in the video, which is a good benchmark, but also try other rhythms.

A good idea would be to apply a rhythm that you work on elsewhere.

For example, the concept used in a Chromatic Speed Exercise could do wonders if combined with a scale.

Pushing The BPM

It’s not until you start playing the exercise at a higher speed that you will ingrain them into your muscle memory.

Just because you can play this exercise at 110 BPM doesn’t have to mean that you play that fast when you improvise a solo.

Your aim should be to see how these shapes connect with each other, not as they appear in a specific key.

To test yourself, compare BPM of how fast you can play in Am Vs Dbm.

Also, how fast can you go through all keys in one go?
