Learn how to connect all Mixolydian scale shapes!

For successful soloing, connect the Mixolydian shapes in all 12 keys!

The video lesson demonstrates what this would look like in the key of A, transpose the concept to D, G etc.

Chord extensions from Mixolydian

Chord extensions are built from scales, in Mixolydian we extend the dom7 into:

Dom9, Dom11 and Dom13.

By taking every other note from the Mixolydian scale we get:

1 3 5 b7 9 11 13

To create the different chords on the guitar, simply use the intervals in bold.
