Improvising with modes
The key to freely improvising skills is to see all of them, but being able to focus in on the intervals in relation to each chord.
Compare the Chordacus image above to F# Dorian – Em shape for example.
The note A would then be a minor third instead of a Root.
Practice as in video, notate in Work Book.
Remember, you have to see both the individual mode and the whole picture.
