There is an E shaped Ionian, Am shaped Phrygian, A shaped Lydian, C shaped Mixolydian and a Dm shaped Aeolian mode in there!

Gm shaped Dorian Exercise

When you can play this shape, run it through the cycle of 4ths up and down the neck.

An idea for an exercise could be to run the Em shaped Dorian scale through the cycle of 4ths, followed by the Dm shape, Cm shape etc.

This way you’ll never forget the individual shapes.

When you can do this, move on to connecting Dorian scale shapes.
