    Hi

    Couldn’t find any better exapmple, the singing language is Finnish

    But two different version of a song here, the song is in 16th note strumming pattern.

    You could add that kind of fingerstyle in the book Guru, some simple fills and how to create a beautiful sound like that.

    I thought that was exactly what the etudes did, simple pattern, how to build it, find licks in the full song examples.

    following the video example, what do you feel is missing in the eBook?

    Do you mean you wanna see two versions of the same song, one with pick, one finger style?

    I cannot build a good sounding pattern there,

    But if it is Comes A Time, then i can esily do it, you have the right pattern in the book for that kind of country groove

    I would love info on how to do this as well. There is a song I am interesting in creating a finger style arrangement for. I purchased the finger style book however, I’m not at a point where I Can tell if I would be able to use it to transpose this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL7Z2Ao-Tug

    Do you think after I get far enough in the book I will be able to ?

    Do you hear the chord in the simple song.?
    maybe a capo at the 5th fret and the Am shape to the E major shape .
    mainly the A minor shape hear just two other notes ,did not study the piece and having great PC problems.

    I can even lose a e book lost the finger style book long ago, can’t buy it again sorry.

    Best Guess it’s the Dm .with Bb AND G as the adding notes so the melody should be in FM making the melody D minor.
    The trick is why did the A minor become A major peace

    Try this for Dm, apply pattern to the rest of the chords

    ——————

    I would use thumb on string 5 and 4.

    I wonder, Guru, if I Complete the etudes in the fingerstyle pdf you have, will I be able to hear and create such patterns for most songs, well, popular songs I should say. Right now Im finding it difficult to hear the patterns in tunes.

    I was somewhat lacklustre at playing what I’d heard, but since starting on Advanced I’ve gotten much much better at it… For example I was watching tv and messing around and managed to play the “jingle” from one of the adverts with virtually no working out!

    tl;dr It’s something that develops over time :)
