Improvising is just that, developing melodic and rhythmical ideas over chord changes.

Yes, building phrases and improvise is something I need to talk about in the intermediate course, once we learned all chords and pentatonics I’ll start that.
As you say, you need to know them all.

If C = I chord
I think what you have above is right, except perhaps the Gmaj, it should be G dominant or G Mixolydian??
Assuming I is C…
I = c maj pent, or Cmaj7 arpeggio, or Ionian
II = d min Pent, or […] -

Ok so that’s got to be C major and therefore:
C – Ionian
A – Aeolian
D – Dorian
G – Mixolydianor pentatonic or arpeggios over each.
Can you do it now that you are in the comfort of your own home?

C Am Dm G7

would this be okC-Cmaj same as Ionian
Am-Am Penta
Dm- Dm- Penta
G7-Gmaj -

You need to decide which of those chords are major and minor first.
C Am Dm G is most likely, so that’s all in C major.
C Am D G is in G major…

Okay, so I was learning some new seventh chord fingerings and looking at a scale chart to see how they fit inside a scale and I noticed that, for instance, while some Maj7 chords will fit into a given diatonic […]

About the Satriani video.
Usually, what Satriani preach is not what I tend to agree with, not so with this video though, I love it!
What he is saying relates to guitar players who practice three note per […]

Ok, lots of good ideas here,
I agree with Jonathan, Conspiracy and 2 chord loops are my two strongest products.
The Work Book might be the most important one though, although it’s not too exciting when you […]

Yeah that sounds like a great idea – we’re all aiming to be at a point where we know what we’re hearing. I’m not there yet – but I’m definitely on my way
The secret? It’s all about […]

It’s modal stuff. Where are you at on the course? – In general the conspiracy says not to worry about vocal melodies until advanced.
