Having just completed my modes practice for the day, I’ve noticed I’m actually a lot stronger on them than I thought… My practice for today was basically all shapes of Ionian according to the conspiracy (chord -> major pent -> add 4 -> major pent -> add 7 -> major pent -> mode) and I [...]

31st: Practice Min7 Arpeggios, all shapes, 30 mins. 15 min chord prog, 30 mins modes…

30th: Arpeggio play around, took first look at dom7 arpeggios, played around with two chord loops and got a nice groove going. Think I need to spend less time jamming and more time actually linking pent with modes – it’s too easy to learn an Ionian shape and effectively blanket whilst changing note focus.
