It seems like you have pulled off a kind of chord substitution with your solo and ended up with a lush Dm7 sound.

Hi Guys, Sorry, when I say focus on the major notes, I mean for example sya playing F arpeggio notes. It is the same pentatonic shape as the Dm, but I kind of like the flavor of playing from F (Dm’s M3 upward but playing Major.. Hmmz. I dunno. But thanks for getting back at [...]

Just an after thought, what if you played a Dm7 arpeggio (but leave out the root) over the Dm chord?
Does that also sound like what you are hearing? Just curious…

Possibly by “thinking” major shape, you are inadvertently focusing on those target notes over the minor chord, and to your ears that is pleasing. if iv chord is Dm (DFA), target notes: = R m3 5 (D F A) Then 4 + m7 ( G and C ) – you might get more of a [...]
