Who is not a beginner?j
Simple we all are, doesn’t matter who , what time of day , how much experience we have etc.. We are all beginning the day on the guitar journey somewhere or that matter any activity, the beginning / period?
Thought a couple of days ago what would I write for the 9th memo. Then I thought the “the number 9″ Beatles revolution (you have to be from that era to get it).
Ok.
First off : Doesn’t matter who I am . I need to start with the right attitude.
Here s me for today:
“Today I’m going for it! I know my goal, I know what I want to do, and I know that all I have to do it do it! So I choose to take control of my day, stop the excuses, put myself into motion, take action, put all of my energy into making it work, and refuse to stop until I reach the goal.”
Second; I can get better at establishing the routine. I can find a minimum of 35 minutes each day to have a structure for my practice in the following areas: If I have only 35 minutes then 5 minutes in each of these areas. If I have more time I spend them on an area of particular concern to make item 7 better.
1) Right Hand Exercises
2) Left Hand Exercises
3) Scale Exercises
4) Chording Exercises
5) Ear Training Exercises / Sight Reading Exercises
6) Arpeggio/Pattern Exercises
7) Tune & Repertoire
Third : I write down what I am doing and continue to tweek the process , this is ongoing and if it ends I fail.
Fourth : I seek out others who have a common goal, and work in harmony with them and empathize with those who are working towards a goal, regardless of whether it is the same as me.
Best Regards,
Stevo
My future journal entries shall demonstrate this.
