Learn how to play Whole Lotta Rosie by AC/DC!
Whole Lotta Rosie was released in 1977 on AC/DC’s fourth album Let There Be Rock and later as a single in 1978.
The lyrics refer to the sexual relations Bon Scott had with a 19 stone (120 kg) woman called Rosie. The riff was recycled from an old AC/DC tune called Dirty Eyes.
Scales for the solo are A Major and Minor Pentatonic.
The first lick is played in A Major Pentatonic G shape. When you move up the neck for the next lick, switch to A Minor Pentatonic Em shape.
Be careful with bends, always double check what note you are bending to.
There is a difference between bending in the G shape and the Em shape, even when the notes look the same, the intervals differ, pitch to them!
