Jimi Hendrix is the most famous guitar player in the world!
Jimi Hendrix began to generate a name for himself in the States, with admirers such as session player ‘Jeff Skunk Baxter’ (who played regularly for Steely Dan and later the Doobie Brothers) Frank Zappa and Chas Chandler.
Chas was formally the bass player for The Animals who, after much effort managed to persuade Hendrix to move to London where the music scene was really taking off, and on the promise that he would form his own group and get to meet Eric Clapton.
With his new-found fame in the UK and Europe, The Jimi Hendrix Experience as it became known, then traveled back to the States to change the world of music forever.
