Foo Fighters is Dave Grohl’s solo project post Nirvana!
As Dave Grohl was touring with Nirvana he spent much of his time recording demos. When Kurt died and Nirvana was no more Dave started his solo project Foo Fighters.
Dave Grohl recorded all instruments and vocals himself on his first album, spread it around the music business, formed a band to support the album and got pickup up by Capitol.
Since the early days of Foo Fighters being a solo project, the drummer Taylor Hawkins can these days be seen singing and taking a more center role in the line up.
When the band played Wembley and Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones guested, Taylor sang!
