The trick to playing Spytunes version of 'I'm Yours' is the back beat reggae rhythm and the chord shapes.

The harmonic structure is simple, repetitive and backwards. I - V - II - IV are the most common chords but usually played the other way: II - V - I. Another famous song that use this chord progression is Bob Marley's 'No Woman, No Cry'.

The vocal melody of 'I'm Yours' rarely moves away form the chord notes which means that we get a very safe harmonic landscape over the backwards chord progression. Again, familiarity with a twist is a safe bet when penning your biggest hit.

There are a few things to bear in mind when playing Spytunes version of 'I'm Yours'.

The key signature is B major, but since a Capo is used on the second fret, think of this song as if it was played in A major.
This is handy since you can incorporate open strings into an arrangement, to do this in the key of B would be much more difficult.

The chord shapes are not as strange as they may first appear, to get more separation and dynamics in the arrangement only fractions of the full shapes are used.
The I chord is an E shape, the V chord is a C shape, the II chord is an Em shape and the IV chord is a D shape.

As the arrangement develop dynamically, other shapes are introduced too.

Practice all chord exercises at 'Intermediate Practice' extensively to get all these barred chords under your belt, they need to be as natural as all the open position chords.

Because the song use a Capo, the Chordacus images shown are in the key of A, so is the SWS.
