I Can't Stand The Rain Rhythm Guitar

Being a pretty forceful rhythm part, the most important part of playing this on one guitar is muting. As usual, it's a combination of left and right hand muting that will bring you most success.

As the video demonstrates, the right hand dampening action is not memorized, it's a technique that happens naturally.

What you see in the video lesson might seem forceful, but every single pluck of the string is focused on to project as loud and clear as possible, not to just "whack it".

Rhythm Guitar Details

To achieve a loud and clear sound out of your acoustic guitar you will have to adjust to the actual instrument, feel how hard you can hit a string without being unmusical.

This will vary from guitar to guitar, how high the string action is, what thickness your pick has etc.
