To play a song as slow as Robin Hood can be tricky. Use a metronome to make sure you don't fluctuate in tempo.

Similarly to 'One More Cup Of Coffee' the hard part of playing like this is to keep it interesting, behind the beat but still driving.

Robin Hood is a pretty depressive song and you need to make the guitar support this. One way of exaggerating depressive thoughts musically is to use descending bass lines, as described in the chords section, this is what the verse is based on.

Notice how the bass line of G - F# - E - D - C is very clear (audio wise that is) in the video example.

In order to make something stand out like this you need to do as little as possible of other stuff. So add strums sparsely if you want to hear more bass.

Also make sure the bass has a solid volume through out, it needs to be strong and firm in relation to the chord which should be more gentle.

When you play the last three chords we have the dilemma of sounding much higher than the low E, this doesn't work well with the descending depression concept.
In order to compensate for this, the last three chords are strummed on the middle strings rather than plucked like the G, D/F#, Em are.

This way of arranging means that you can adapt to sounds with your right hand as well as looking at different inversions for your left hand.

The serious guitarist should looks at as many ways as possible to manipulate his/her playing.
